With the holidays right around the corner, we have come across so many tempting tea recipes both sweet and savory. Our latest recipe makeover is a perfect addition for your holiday meal.
Talbott Teas Soho Earl and Lime Rolls
2 Talbott Teas SoHo Earl tea sachets
1 cup boiling water
1 Tablespoon yeast
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 t Kosher salt
zest of 2 limes
3 1/4 cups flour
Put tea sachets in a warmed tea pot and add boiling water. Let steep covered for 15 minutes and cool.
Put yeast and sugar in large bowl and pour luke warm tea over them. Let sit 10 minutes then add melted butter, salt, lime zest and enough flour to make soft dough dough. Cover and let rise till double about 30 minutes. Turn dough out onto floured surface and punch down. Let rest 10 minutes. Tear off 1 ounce pieces and form into balls. Place on parchment lined baking sheet. Let rise 20 more minutes till doubled in size and then bake in a 375 degree oven for 10-15 minutes till golden brown. The aroma of Bergamot and lime will fill your kitchen as the rolls bake.
Makes 20 small rolls.
