We have been very busy lately filling large orders, creating supplies for some new, and some long time restaurant and retail clients, along with filling orders daily for our online clients.
Sometimes we get so busy, we forget to appreciate small moments that when we think about them not only make our day better, but also make us feel great about the people around us.
We had one of those moments yesterday.
Early in the morning our staff, along with others that share our building space noticed a stray dog camped out in front of our building. When people tried to approach the dog, he would cower, and growl a bit, but did not leave. When we just left him alone, the dog just sat back down, looking forlorn. The dog had been sitting there for hours.
Throughout the morning different people, from different companies, came down to see the dog, bring it water and leave treats for it. No one could get close to the dog, and people were discussing options about what they could do to help the poor animal.
One of our employees decided to check Craigslist’s “lost and found” ads on the off chance someone had listed their pet as lost.
There it was …a “Lost Dog” ad with a picture of the dog that was now sitting outside of our building. We called the number listed in the ad and within minutes the dog and the owners had a happy reunion.
It was great to see the story have a happy ending, and nicer still that so many people around us stopped their own busy days to care what happened to a stray dog.
